Snap your plate. Know what's in it.
Calobase names your meal, tells you if it's veg or non-veg, tags every item on the plate and estimates calories, protein, carbs, fat and fibre. Change anything before you save.

Four ways to log a meal
Use whichever is quickest for what's in front of you. Every meal ends up the same way: a name, #tags for what's on the plate, and nutrition you can check before saving.
Snap a photo
Shoot your plate from above. Calobase names the meal and tags each item on the plate.
Type or say it
Write or speak "2 idli, sambar and filter coffee" and Calobase works out the rest.
Search the food list
Pick from over 200 everyday foods, your recent meals or your favourites.
Scan a barcode
Point the camera at a packet to get its calories from the label data.
Your whole day on one screen
Home in Calobase has four tabs, so food, water, weight and activity sit side by side.
Meals
A ring shows the calories you have left. Protein, carbs and fat add up under it, meal by meal.
Water
Tap + for each glass you drink, towards a goal you set.
Weight
Log it once a week and see the trend towards your target.
Activity
Add your steps or a workout, and choose whether the calories you burn add to your food budget. Automatic step sync from your phone is coming in a future update.
Habits that stick
Streaks
See how many days in a row you've logged. A small push that keeps the habit going.
Meal and water reminders
The Android app, coming very soon, will nudge you at breakfast, lunch and dinner, and to drink water.
A weekly summary
Every Monday, an email with your week's calories, your best day and a few tips for the week ahead.
- Your photos don't stay. A photo shows only on the day you took it and is deleted from our server after two days. Your log keeps the items, not the picture.
- Your day is your day. Calobase follows your own time zone, so a new day starts at your midnight wherever you are.
- Light or dark. Calobase follows your phone's light or dark setting.
- Food photos only. Photos with adult content are flagged and can't be saved.
Plans
Every new account starts with a 3-day trial. After that, keep logging for free, or upgrade for photo scans.

Plans are bought on the Calobase website and paid in advance, for 1 month or 1 year. They don't renew by themselves, and we email you a few days before yours ends. Your plan will work in the Android and iOS apps too when they arrive.
Who makes Calobase
Calobase is made by CraftFrame Labs, a small software studio in India that builds focused apps for one everyday job. We keep what we collect to a minimum: an account, the meals you choose to save, and the water, weight and activity you log.
You can delete your Calobase account and all of its data at any time from the app's settings.
